MLK Day of Service at Habitat ReStore

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County is hosting a volunteer service day on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 10 AM – 4 PM at the Clarksville ReStore.

MLK Day of Service is a way to honor the life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by engaging in community action that continues to solve social problems.

Service breaks down barriers by bringing people from different experiences together – volunteering can unite people of of all ages and faith backgrounds while building stronger communities.

The project involves improvements at the ReStore, including lighting and ceiling tile installation, painting, shelving, and organizing warehouse.

The ReStore is the primary revenue source for the Habitat for Humanity home building program. Improvements will help support five Clarksville families currently working toward home ownership in 2020.

To sign up email info@habitatmctn.org, subject line #MLK. Volunteers should be 16 and older, wear work clothes and close-toed shoes and bring gloves.

Habitat will provide documentation for those performing community service.

The Clarksville ReStore is located 404 Madison St.
