CLARKSVILLE, TN – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Tennessee, will accept applications for its low-income, 0% interest homeownership program from March 1 through March 8, 2027.
For many families in our community, rising rent and tight budgets make owning a home feel out of reach. Habitat’s homeownership program is built to change that. Qualified applicants have the opportunity to purchase a safe, affordable home with a 0% interest mortgage, and to build a stable foundation for their family’s future.
A Hand Up, Not a Handout
Habitat homeownership is a partnership. Families who are selected work alongside volunteers and staff to help build their homes, and they go on to purchase them through an affordable, interest-free mortgage. The result is more than a house. It is stability for children, financial security for families, and a stronger, more connected neighborhood for everyone.
What You’ll Need to Apply
Because the application window is only one week, we encourage interested families to gather their paperwork ahead of time. Applicants should be ready to provide:
- Current bank statement
- Current government subsidies documentation
- Two months of proof of income
- 2025 tax return
- 2026 W-2s
- Photo ID
- Current lease
- Proof of residency
Having these documents organized before March 1 will make the process faster and smoother.
Help Us Spread the Word
Many families who could benefit from this program may not know it exists. If you know a neighbor, coworker, friend, or family member who is working hard and dreaming of owning a home, please share this announcement with them. Churches, employers, schools, and community organizations are also welcome to help get the word out.
