Austin Peay State University’s basketball team will host its annual charity alumni game on October 28 at 7 p.m. with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County. The event will showcase iconic alumni against the current Governors team. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
Date: Monday, October 28 at 7 p.m.
Location: Gary Mathews Court in F&M Bank Arena.
The game promises some of the biggest names in Governor’s basketball history going up against the 2024-25 Governors. Participating alumni will be announced on Austin Peay basketball’s social media pages leading up to the event.
Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County is a housing nonprofit that serves low-income families by providing a path to home ownership through a 0% interest home loan. Funds raised at the alumni game will support Habitat for Humanity with a focus on recovery efforts for those affected by recent tornadoes in the area.
“Govs players and coaches have dedicated countless hours volunteering with Habitat. By putting us front and center at this event, we have the opportunity to connect with thousands of their fans, which can only lead to great things,” said Rob Selkow, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity. “This is a tremendous opportunity, and we are incredibly grateful.”
