Habitat for Humanity invites volunteers to February Community Service Day

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (February 3, 2020) – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Tennessee (HFHMCTN) invites the public to join in a Community Service Day Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Habitat ReStore, located at 404 Madison Street in the heart of downtown Clarksville.

Volunteers are encouraged to join future Habitat for Humanity homeowners in painting, organizing, sorting items for recycling, and overall improvements of the workspace.

During January’s MLK Day of Service at the ReStore, more than 40 volunteers participated in a similar community volunteer day.

The ReStore is one of the primary revenue sources for the Habitat for Humanity home building program. Improvements will help support nine Clarksville families currently working toward home ownership in 2020.

To sign up for the project, email info@habitatmctn.org with the subject line February Community Service Day or sign up through Facebook.  Volunteers should be 16 and older, wear work clothes and close-toed shoes and bring gloves.

The Clarksville ReStore is located at 404 Madison Street. Habitat will provide documentation for those performing community service to receive credit.
