Habitat for Humanity names new Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County announced today that Rob Selkow has been named Executive Director. The appointment follows a search to fill the position that was vacated in October of 2018.

Board President Kevin Underwood said the following of Selkow’s appointment: “Rob has proven his dedication to our mission as a volunteer and has demonstrated the drive and experience to lead the way in helping us serve Montgomery County residents that need decent, affordable housing.”

“I feel greatly privileged to be a part of the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County and am grateful for this opportunity to serve with a team of volunteers and supporters in this life changing work,” Selkow said.

Since 2010, Selkow served as News Director for 5 Star Media and in 2012 was named Site Manager of ClarksvilleNow.com. “Leaving 5 Star Media after nine years…my feelings are mainly gratitude,” Selkow said. “I learned so much. The skills I developed are more than I could have imagined.”

“I’m going to miss working with some really close friends, but we’re still going to see plenty of each other because there’s a common interest in making Clarksville a better place.”

Selkow’s previous non-profit experience includes operations in two NPR radio stations and serving on committee’s for Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, SAFE (Soldiers and Families Embraced) and the Jaycees.

Selkow is set to start with us on May 6.
