‘Kindness,’ yard-sign campaign helps build Habitat homes

The ‘Be Kind’ yard signs popping up around town are helping Habitat build affordable homes in Clarksville.

The campaign was started by Immaculate Conception School as a way to spread a positive message and help several local nonprofit groups, including Habitat for Humanity.

The signs read ‘BE KIND,’ in big bold letters along with the hashtag #angelsofkindness.

The signs sell for $10 each with proceeds going to Habitat, The Food Initiative, Tender Paws Animal Therapy of Clarksville, SAFE: Soldiers and Families Embraced, and Clarksville Urban Ministries’ Safe Place.

“We’re grateful to be included among the organizations benefiting from such a positive movement,” said Habitat President Kevin Underwood.

“We’re all stronger when we work together and I’m especially grateful for the people of Clarksville that will reap the benefits of this through these great organizations.” Underwood said.

Signs are available for purchase from Immaculate Conception School (1901 Madison St.) Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
